We are pleased to now offer you confidential email access to your medical team. It is free and allows you to be in touch, at your convenience, without relying on phone messages or faxing. Messages will be triaged through the medical assistants and can take up to 2-3 business days for response from our office. Medical assistants will discuss with physicians and determine the appropriate response. Due to some topics or length of response needed, appointments may be needed in place of Patient Portal conversations.
** Patient Portal should not be used for medication refill requests or urgent needs. **
- Receive lab results electronically. (Typically, lab results can take up to two weeks but abnormal or high results will be received sooner. Some results may require an appointment to discuss with the physician.)
- Communicate with your medical team.
- Ask billing questions.
- Access patient education information.
If you are interested in signing up with the Patient Portal, please let the Front Desk staff know in person or when calling our office and they will provide you with an enrollment token (key). Once you have the token number, find the email from NextMD in your inbox (check your junk/spam folder for it as well). You can follow the prompts to sign up for the Patient Portal through that email or go directly to the NextMD website to sign up.
Messages regarding emergencies or urgent needs will be triaged by the medical assistants as they would a telephone call. However, a response can take up to 14 days. The portal is not meant for emergencies or urgent needs. It is not to replace an office visit, or meant as a means of conversation with the physicians or other providers.
