A Colorado native, Dr. Abrams joined Family Practice Associates, P.C. in 1993. She enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine, including men’s and women’s health issues, chronic disease management and general pediatrics.
Dr. Abrams graduated from the University of Denver with a BA in science and minors in chemistry and piano. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado and then completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Abrams is board-certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder Medical Society. She is a member of Avista Hospital’s Family Medicine Department and previously served in Avista’s medical education department for five years.
Dr. Abrams enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine including adult medicine, both men’s and women’s health issues, general pediatrics, preventative medicine, chronic disease management and minor procedures (dermatological and gynecological). She has an interest in disease prevention (including cardiac disease, diabetes and obesity) with an emphasis on nutrition and physical activity.
Dr. Abrams is married and has three sons. She enjoys outdoor activities and general physical fitness, including masters swimming, hiking and mountain biking. She also enjoys spending time with her family, church involvement, and playing the piano.
